We at the Breadalbane Inn take great pride in making your special day as special as you. Our Special Events Coordinator will be more than happy to sit down and assist you with your selection of wines, cocktails and hors d'oeuvres. You may choose from our beautiful Marquee Tent, the glassed in solarium or the splendor of the backyard with trellis for your event.

 
All menus can be customized to your specific requests or dietary concerns. Birthdays, anniversaries, baptisms any special event that you might be celebrating is sure to be memorable when you celebrate it at The Breadalbane Inn.
   

APPETIZERS

Duck Liver Pate – sautéed duck liver, garlic, shallots, fresh herbs and spices on toasted baguette

New England Clam Chowder – clams, bacon, potatoes, rich creamy broth

Minestrone Soup – hearty vegetable and bean soup with pasta in a tomato based broth

Gazpacho – chilled vegetable soup, tomatoes, peppers, onions, cucumber

Chilled Melon and Mint Soup – honeydew, cantaloupe and watermelon with fresh mint

Crab Cakes with Red Pepper Remoulade – crab, scallions, fresh herbs breaded and fried, served with a red pepper and anchovy tartar sauce

Oysters Rockefeller – oysters baked on the half shell with baby spinach, Parmesan cheese and a rich butter sauce

Beef Carpaccio – thinly sliced raw beef with a spicy mustard sauce

Scallop Ceviche – citrus marinated bay scallops, fresh dill, lemon

Waldorf Salad – romaine lettuce, apples, celery, walnuts, chantilly (heavy cream and mayonnaise) dressing

Chicken Spanakopita – chicken, spinach and goat's cheese wrapped in Phyllo and baked golden brown

 

DESSERTS

Poached Pears – red wine marinated Bartlett pears, glazed with sugar

Apple Blossoms – apples wrapped in puff pastry, baked and drizzled with caramel sauce

Apple Crumble- baked apples with cinnamon and spice

Chocolate Mousse- whipped Belgian chocolate

Fudge Cake- moist chocolate cake layered with vanilla ice cream and smothered in warm fudge sauce

Carrot Cake- rich carrot cake with cream cheese icing

Crème Brulée – in a variety of flavours (mint, espresso, vanilla)

Chicken Parmesan – grilled chicken breast, tomato sauce, linguini noodles baked with Parmesan

Stuffed Chicken Supreme – River's Edge goat cheese and spinach

Apple and Raisin Stuffed Ontario Pork Chop – Ontario pork stuffed with an apple and raisin chutney

Surf and Turf – 6oz Highland beef tenderloin, lobster tail

Roasted Rack of Lamb- with a mint jus

Braised Lamb Shanks Grilled Ostrich – White Rock Ostrich tenderloin, cherry and red wine glaze

Barbequed Quail - with spicy hoisin sauce

Salmon Tournedos – River's Edge goat cheese, baby spinach, red peppers rolled in a filet of salmon and baked

Duck roulade – mash potatoes, fresh herbs, Riverglen duck wrapped in bacon

Tilapia – pan fried fish, rich lemon cream sauce

Vegetarian Lasagna – layers of eggplant, zucchini and mushrooms baked with tomato sauce and mixed cheese

Linguini Puttanesca – tomatoes, black olives, capers, linguine noodles, basil tomato sauce
